IDF Elite Operator Strength & Conditioning Program

WHAT IS IT?

IDF Elite Operator Strength & Conditioning Program is designed for active duty warriors seeking to take their physical performance to the next level in order to improve their operational performance and crush all daily physical challenges of an operator’s life with ease. Each week is planned according to the intense working conditions and performance requirements of an active duty military Athlete. This program is not for beginners, you will be challenged physically and mentally every single week! You will increase your strength and work capacity by focusing on powerlifting, high intensity functional conditioning as well as work-specific running endurance.

Each program consists of several workouts a week, each averaging at least 60 minutes. These are ongoing periodized training programs, divided up into 4-6 week mesocycle phases. The volume, sets, reps, and rest time of each workload varies throughout each cycle in order to train effectively while avoiding injury.

WHAT DO I NEED?

Your equipment requirements depend on the program you have subscribed to.

The IDF Tactical Athlete Training Program was designed for those with minimal access to proper training equipment. All you need is a pull-up bar, dip bars (commonly found at local parks), and a sandbag or some sort of weight (backpack filled with books or water bottles, pillowcase filled with dirt or sand, etc.) For those that have access to a gym, you can use various forms of weights (kettlebells, dumbbells, Olympic weight lifting bar, etc.) instead of the sandbag.

The Active Duty Operator Program will require full Gym access, including barbells and weights, dumbbells, weighted sandbags, kettlebells, jump boxes, pull-ups and dips bars, as well as a rugged rucksack. We recommend purchasing a GORUCK rucksack both for training and service life.

The best program someone can do before drafting with the goal to get to special forces. My discipline levels are much higher just after training with them, and I’m able to push myself further than I thought possible.

When I got to Israel I had no idea what I was doing as far as the army. Tzevet Lohamim gave me a place to train with a great group of motivated guys and an extremely professional staff of instructors from all the best units in the army. As a result I was accepted to exactly the unit and wanted and can’t wait to go back one day as a trainer.
